Please tell us about the new product, how did this come to life?

I believe that ABSOLUT® TABASCO™ is a true meeting of two heritages coming together, and an exciting new chapter for the cocktail industry. 

Absolut has been always redefining cocktail culture — blending flavor and creativity in every pour. With an ever-curious, boundary-pushing spirit, Absolut continues to mix ideas and flavors to open minds to new perspectives.

TABASCO® Sauce, on the other hand, has been setting the world on fire since 1868. Born on Avery Island, US, and loved across 195 countries, it’s the world’s most iconic hot sauce that turns any meal into a global ritual. With cult-like loyalty and timeless heat, TABASCO® Sauce isn’t just a condiment — it’s culture in a bottle. The collaboration brings these two icons together at exactly the right moment.

Heat is one of the fastest-growing flavor trends globally, with consumers increasingly seeking bolder, spicier taste experiences. At the same time, Bloody Mary cocktail remains one of the most searched-for cocktails worldwide — especially around brunch occasions.

How has the new flavor being received from the industry?

The industry has exploded. This is the biggest launch for brand in years and our sales had been busy making sure all clients get the product. ABSOLUT® TABASCO™ has just recently become available in the Bars and Restaurants, while launch in Systembolaget is 10th of April. However the anticipation has been built since January, and I think every close to the industry like media has covered this launch and everyone has been counting days till the launch. It will definitely be a hot season!

What does it taste like? Is it really super hot?

What is great about the product is that it tastes exactly as you would expect it to: pure Absolut Vodka with TABASCO® Sauce heat. It is spicy enough to ensure spice lovers are satisfied while those leaning more towards mild flavours can also enjoy it. 

Your go to cocktail with the new Absolut Tabasco: 

Of course, Bloody Mary! I love brunches, so this is my always go to! For home parties I would go with an easy Spicy Lemonade or Vodkarita if I want a more elevated experience. 

Mariia’s favorite cocktails with Absolut Tabasco:

Spicy Bloody Mary with Absolut Tabasco
  1. Rim a highball glass with Cajun spice – because flavor starts at the edge.
  2. In a shaker, mix ABSOLUT® TABASCO™, tomato juice, Worcestershire Sauce, lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Add ice, roll it smooth and strain into your spiced glass over fresh ice cubes.
  4. Garnish with lemon, red chillies and a bright parsley sprig.
Spicy Lemonade with Absolut Tabasco
  1. Rim a highball glass with Cajun seasoning and fill with ice.
  2. Add ABSOLUT® TABASCO™, top it up with your favourite fresh lemonade and garnish with a lemon wheel.
Spicy Vodkarita with Absolut Tabasco
  1. Rim a rocks glass with Cajun seasoning for a bold, savory kick.
  2. Fill a shaker with ABSOLUT® TABASCO™, freshly squeezed lime juice, and a splash of agave syrup.
  3. Add ice, shake vigorously until well-chilled.
  4. Fine strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
